Data credit is not a data allowance
Understand the difference between dollars of balance and gigabytes.
Two numbers, two different jobs
Your payment is the price of the top-up. The credit amount is the balance added to the compatible SIM. Neither figure by itself tells you how many gigabytes you can use.
The local rate matters
A per-gigabyte or per-megabyte rate determines how far your balance goes. Networks and destinations may charge different rates. Ask for the applicable tariff before calculating a travel budget.
Example, not a destination quote
If a hypothetical service charged $10 per GB, a $50 credit would buy about 5 GB before any other charges. A $25 per GB rate would buy about 2 GB. These numbers illustrate the calculation; they are not our network tariffs.
Avoid the surprise drain
Automatic photo backups, app updates and streaming can use data quickly. Download maps and large files on Wi-Fi, then check your device’s data-use settings before your trip.
